Notice of Public Hearing 2022 Budget and Tax Levy

Notice is hereby given that a preliminary budget for the Port of Everett for the year 2022 has been prepared and placed on file in the office of the Port District at 1205 Craftsman Way, Suite 200, Everett, Washington, and a copy of said budget may be obtained by any Port of Everett District taxpayer, or other interested person, at the Port’s Offices, or by downloading the preliminary budget from the Port’s website at www.portofeverett.com.
Public comments for the budget are currently being accepted through 11:30 a.m. on November 16, 2021, through the Port’s website  www.portofeverett.com – Quick Links – Send us your Comments), via mail to Port of Everett, P.O. Box 538, Everett, WA 98206, or via Zoom during Commission meetings.

The Commission of the Port of Everett will open a Public Hearing on November 9, 2021, at approximately 12:00 p.m. (noon) via Zoom for the purpose of taking public comments on the 2022 Preliminary Budget, and then recess the public hearing at the conclusion of any comments on November 9, 2021. Such Hearing will reopen the recessed public hearing at the Commission meeting scheduled for November 16, 2021, at approximately 12:00 p.m. (noon) via Zoom for the purpose of taking additional public comments and adopting the final 2022 Budget for the Port District. The Hearing will include a review of revenue sources
and expenditures for the Port’s District’s 2022 budget, including a proposed property tax levy for the year 2022. The public hearing will then close at the conclusion of the Staff Presentation and public input on the
2022 Budget.
