Port of Everett hosts Governor Jay Inslee for Norton Terminal Site Tour

On September 21, 2021, Governor Jay Inslee stopped by the Port of Everett Seaport to check out all the progress being made on the Port’s $36M Mills to Maritime project at Norton Terminal. The visit included a tour with Commission President Tom Stiger, Port CEO Lisa Lefeber and the project team to show how we are putting over $7.6 million in state funding to work to complete this critical environmental cleanup and transform the former mill site into a new maritime hub. This project is a prime example of how responsible environmental stewardship can go hand in hand with sustainable maritime development to strengthen and diversify our economy and create new jobs, while also protecting the health of Puget Sound!
