NOTICE Morning of Jan. 15, 2022 - Tsunami Advisory Issued for Washington Coast and Snohomish County Coastline

NOTICE: The following message was issued by the Snohomish County Emergency Management:

“This is Snohomish County Emergency Management with an emergency message. The National Tsunami Warning Center has issued a Tsunami Advisory for the Snohomish County coastline. Waves and strong currents may reach the County coastline later this morning but still uncertain. Impacts may last several hours. Be safe. Avoid Puget Sound beaches, waterfront area.”

It is advised that no one is on their boat or the shoreline at this time. As a precaution consider seeking higher ground. The Port of Everett has opened its Waterfront Center Blue Heron Room and second floor lobby (1205 Craftsman Way, Everett, WA) for staff, boaters and community members interested.

We will provide an update once the all clear has been given.
