Port of Everett welcomes first Boeing 777X parts

Last night, the Port of Everett welcomed the first oversized containers carrying parts for the new 777X. Instead of offloading at Pacific Terminal, the Port's primary container facility, the 777X parts were offloaded at Pier 1 using a mobile harbor crane rated to handle the heavier, larger containers now arriving in Everett. In April, work to begin modernizing the Port's South Terminal facility to better accommodate this next generation of cargo will commence, kicking off the largest project in Port history.
