NOTICE -- Upcoming Port of Everett Crane Lighting Demo & Feedback Opportunity

Date: Jan 16, 2020
The Port of Everett is inviting community members to participate in an upcoming crane lighting demonstration taking place at the Port of Everett Seaport beginning Wednesday, January 29 thru Wednesday, February 5, 2020. The purpose of the demonstration is to gather feedback on two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airspace navigation compliance options being considered by the Port as part of the installation of its recently acquired container cranes at South Terminal.

*NOTE: The crane lighting demonstration includes the illumination of two pulsating white and red lights temporarily installed on one of two cranes. If the FAA compliant option of lighting is implemented, there would be three lights on each crane; six lights total. The demo is taking place in the cargo yard, located east of their final placement on the South Terminal Wharf (see image on flier). The formal comment period closes at the end of day, Wednesday, February 5; the temporary lights for the demo will be turned off at approximately 6 a.m. the next business day, Thursday, February 6.
