Port of Everett Announces Modified Holiday on the Bay, Return of Popular Drive-in Movies on December 5

 Everett, Wash. – The Port of Everett invites community members to join us for a day of free, family fun during its modified Holiday on the Bay festivities on Saturday, December 5, 2020. The Port’s annual festival looks different this year, offering virtual and socially distanced program options with something for all ages.

Back by popular demand, the Port is excited to announce the return of its waterfront drive-in movies on Dec. 5, featuring two holiday classics that evening including Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (G) at 5 p.m. and Elf (PG) at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are required; sign up here.

The Port has also teamed up with Imagine Children’s Museum to continue its annual partnership in providing free holiday crafts, this year offering take-home “DIY” holiday craft kits for kids. Curbside pick-up available noon – 5 p.m. at Waterfront Center on Dec. 5. Kits available while supplies last. Reserve kits here.

A new addition to the program this year is Wintertime Stories, a virtual book reading program in partnership with Everett Public Library. Gather your family to listen to winter-themed stories on the Port of Everett and Everett Public Library social media channels with a new book launching every hour on the hour from noon – 6 p.m. on Dec. 5.

The event will also feature a virtual tree lighting ceremony, lighted boats on parade with socially distant viewing options, and holiday specials at waterfront restaurants. Anthony’s Restaurants food truck FINN will set up at the waterfront at Boxcar Park from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. offering grab-and-go options with proceeds benefiting Mary’s Place, No Child Sleeps Outside effort.

Looking for options to give back this holiday season?
The annual toy drive for Marine Toys for Tots is back again, accepting NEW, unwrapped toys for children in need this holiday season. Non-perishable food donations are also being accepted through a partnership with Engage Everett and Volunteers of America. Please bring toys and/or food donations now thru Dec. 5 to the drop boxes located in the Port’s Waterfront Center lobby near the Scuttlebutt entrance. Drive-thru drop off available Dec. 5 from noon – 5 p.m.
