EVERETT, WASH. – The Port of Everett Commission has authorized two new 15-year leases with local restaurateur The Way Group Hospitality LLC to open two new restaurants at Waterfront Place – Tapped Public House and The Net Sheds, a new fish and chips restaurant with a year-round fish market. 

Both businesses will locate along “Restaurant Row” in Fisherman’s Harbor in two new multi-tenant buildings set to break ground early next year. Tapped Public House joins Rustic Cork Wine BarHamilton Cellars and Menchie’s @ the Marina in a new two-story, nearly 12,000 sq. ft. building to be constructed on parcel A12, south of the new Asian-fusion Fisherman Jack’s restaurant and South Fork Baking Co. that opened this past summer.

EVERETT, WASH. – The joint effort to restore the historic Weyerhaeuser Building and re-envision the 100-year-old structure into The Muse Whiskey & Coffee won the Washington state chapter of the NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Development Association, Historic Renovation of the Year Award.

NAIOPWA represents more than 1,000 members involved with the development, ownership, management and financing of commercial properties. The chapter’s Night of the Stars Awards highlight important strides made in sustainable development, unique historical renovation and a continued commitment to world-class development in the greater Puget Sound area.

EVERETT, WASH. – The Port of Everett and ice rink operator Blue Line Sports & Entertainment, along with presenting sponsor Dwayne Lane’s Auto Family, are excited to announce the return of the Port’s Pacific Ice outdoor community ice rink at Waterfront Place.

Back for its third winter season, the real ice pop-up rink runs daily Nov. 25, 2023 thru Jan. 8, 2024 from the Port’s Pacific Rim Plaza near Hotel Indigo (1028 13th Street, Everett, WA 98201). Operating hours are Monday-Thursday 4-9 p.m., Friday 4-10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Extended holiday hours are offered from Dec. 18-Jan. 1.

EVERETT, WASH. – An iconic piece of Everett history was brought back to life this week as the historic Weyerhaeuser Building at Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place celebrated its official grand reopening as The Muse Whiskey & Coffee – a coffee house by day, and a speakeasy-inspired whiskey bar by night.

The Port and its partner NGMA Group, owner of the new establishment, held a ribbon-cutting on July 12 to commemorate the occasion, which brings the building back into community use in its centennial year. A program included sentiments from Port and City leadership, the NGMA Group and Historic Everett, followed by self-guided tours of the fully restored space.

Millwright Loop Road 2 - CopyPort of everett awards $13m construction contract for millwright loop road at waterfront place

EVERETT, WASH. – Earlier this month, the Port of Everett Commission awarded a $13 million construction contract to Burlington-based Interwest Construction Inc. to build out the next phase of infrastructure at the Millwright District – the second and largest phase of the Port’s Waterfront Place mixed-use development.

The project includes constructing the Millwright Loop Roads and connecting roadways and infrastructure starting with removal and relocation of existing preload material from the roadway footprint and placing it in future construction locations for the district.

EVERETT, WASH. – The Port of Everett’s Millwright District has been preloaded for future roadway construction. Port contractor Strider Construction finished importing about 33,000 cubic yards — or about 2,000 dump truck loads — of clean fill dirt known as “preload” in February.

The preload is mounded up where the future Millwright Loop Roads will be built on the 10-acre plot. The fill dirt compacts the site to prevent settlement after construction, and it also provides the additional material needed to mitigate for rising sea levels.

EVERETT, WASH. – Last month, the Port of Everett Commission awarded a $1.5 million contract to Seattle-based BCRA to complete the design of two new buildings, bringing more retail and restaurants to the Port’s mixed-use Waterfront Place development.

One building will be constructed next door to the soon-to-open Fisherman Jack’s and South Fork Baking Co. This building will house Anisoptera SpaRustic Cork Wine Bar and Menchie’s @ the Marina. The Port is actively recruiting a complementary restaurant such as a breakfast spot or pizza place to fill the balance of the building.

EVERETT, WASH. – Oenchie’s @ the Marina will soon add a sweet new attraction to the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place.

Earlier this month, the Port Commission authorized a 10-year lease with BOYO LLC – a Bothell-based Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt franchisee – for 1,000 square feet of new waterfront retail in Fisherman’s Harbor. The deal includes two, five-year options to extend, and marks the first Everett storefront for the Menchie’s brand.
