Sound2Summit Brewing, Lazy Boy Brewing Tap New Sites at Port of Everett's Waterfront Place
The Port of Everett has brewed up two new leases with well-known, local craft brewers – Sound2Summit Brewing Co. and Lazy Boy Brewing Co. – to fill its high-demand brewery/tap room sites at the transforming Waterfront Place development.
Both breweries are now part of the Port’s destination “wine walk” targeting a curated mix of wineries, breweries and spirits tasting and tap rooms situated between Fisherman’s Harbor and Marina Village at the largest public Marina on the West Coast.
Sound2Summit has secured 3,000 sq. ft. and expansive outdoor patio and courtyard space to support a new tap room expansion to its Snohomish-based brewery. The new tap room site is located next to the coming Woods Coffee, at one of two new buildings to break ground this spring at the corner of 18th Street and West Marine View Drive in the Port’s Marina Village.
“This is an exciting time for Sound2Summit Brewery,” said Douglas Milnor, Managing Director, and one of four co-owners for the brewery. “Our singular goal since we took over the brewery is to provide quality craft beer, food and experience to all our customers. Expanding to the Everett waterfront provides us the opportunity to expose our craft-philosophy to a wider-range of customers who are looking for a friendly, locally-owned brewery.”
Sound2Summit was the first brewery to put down roots in the quaint downtown core of the City of Snohomish in 2014. Established brewing operations will continue there while the company expands its popular tap list, with potential for new variations, to the Port of Everett.
The tap room will feature a pizza oven to offer freshly made flatbread pizzas, complemented by salads and other tasty treats. A dog-friendly patio will encourage grabbing a beer and a bite with your furry friends, too.
Over at Fisherman’s Harbor, Lazy Boy Brewing has secured 3,500 sq. ft. and expansive outdoor patio on parcel A6, at the corner of Seiner Drive and West Marine View Drive. The site will house a new, 5,000 sq. ft. building overlooking Seiner Wharf and the commercial fishing dock, with the balance of the building targeting a year-round fish market selling local catch.
“We believe that Waterfront Place is the future direction of Everett, and we are very excited to be a part of it,” said Shawn Loring, owner of Lazy Boy Brewing. “We are looking forward to the next chapter of the Lazy Boy Brewing era at the Port of Everett.”
The deal represents a full relocation and expansion of Lazy Boy’s brewing and tap room operations from its South Everett warehouse to a more public facing site at the waterfront – a result of exponential business growth and success in its first 16 years. Lazy Boy plans to increase its brewing to feature up to 15 beer styles, up from the 8–10 currently on the menu.
Construction on the new brewery/fish market building at A6 is slated for early 2023.

About Waterfront Place
The Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place is a new 1.5 million square foot mixed-use development located on 65 acres at the waterfront near the downtown core in Everett, Washington. The development boasts spectacular views, waterfront access, recreational amenities and a world-class marina – that largest public Marina on the West Coast – with 2,300 slips and 5,000 linear feet of guest moorage.
